Hi!

Some of you may know me personally, and some may not. Either way, I'm extremely grateful to anyone reading this. I am launching my business online for the first time and, I'm super excited to share what I've been working on and holding onto all this time.

This first drop can be split into two bodies of work: Can You Stand the Rain? And Within My Veil of Darkness

Can You Stand the Rain? Is personal to me and my experiences with hair since cutting my locs off in 2022. It also highlights the friendships I've developed through doing my friends' hair. At this point, I've been all up in friends' scalps, and despite the hand pain and long hours, those times were always filled with joy and hilariously terrible television. Can You Stand the Rain? Documents that time, culminating in a 16-page magazine, with three pages you can order as large prints.

Within My Veil of Darkness is centered around my second-year solo show during my M.F.A. program at UC San Diego, where I was suspended in a net for 8 hours and held a performance for a small crowd of 20 guests. My hair was intertwined into long twists that pooled at the base of the net and extended outwards onto the walls. Within My Veil of Darkness documents my movements in the net and some photos from the installation in a 37-page book that will be available soon! Three pages from this upcoming book are available to order right now in multiple sizes.
